A multi award-winning broker, Anna Parker, has exceptional liability insurance knowledge and knowledge of exactly how to tailor the correct insurance program. After working as an insurance litigation lawyer for several years and seeing time after time the severe implications of businesses not having the proper insurance advice, Anna made a move to insurance broking with one of the largest American owned, NZ based, global broking houses. It was there that Anna saw the benefit of how specialist liability insurance advice can make all the difference.
It was also there that Anna discovered that, unlike lawyers, brokers did not charge an hourly rate for their professional advice but instead operated on a commission model with kick-backs, such as profit share agreements. Anna passionately disagreed with this hidden commission model and the inherent conflict of interest that exists when brokers are remunerated by an insurer.
When Anna discovered Frank, a disruptor to the insurance industry with a transparent fee for service model, she knew that this was the team she wanted to join. Anna was thrilled to discover Frank’s trailblazing approach aligned with her vision of high-quality insurance advice, transparency and putting the client's interests first.
In October 2020, Anna joined to launch our Auckland office which forms part of our Financial & Professional Risks team.
Anna is an avid golfer and board game enthusiast and has recently created the “Board Business” networking group in Auckland.
Qualifications
Combining her depth of experience as a technical liability insurance specialist with her background as a former insurance litigation lawyer means she understands complex insurance programs and provides a unique perspective.
Anna has been involved in insurance for over 12 years and is a skilled client advocate for complex claims. Anna’s qualifications include:
